David Bowie - Lazarus

Bowie's final act, his Lazarus video is restricted. No problem.  Click 'play' and then click the link on the You Tube message. And don't forget to leave an appreciative "thumbs up" for this amazing farewell performance!

    1. It's not scary really. It's a work of art. I admire it as a work of art and as a great farewell performance from a man dying of cancer. I mean it's not exactly Dignitas assisted death that they have in Switzerland where they play soft music and hold your hand. He could have gone there, but he wanted to out as he lived. Pushing the barriers.

    2. I'm glad you watched it though. Being attacked by a horned sheep is pretty scary too. Hope your farmer has recovered now.

  2. Incredible video from an incredible man. I think you know you're getting old when your music heroes from your youth are passing away.

    1. Yeah Dave, the final countdown. I get a depressing letter every year, a list of old workmates who have kicked the bucket. Up till now I'm fortunate that my name has not been on it. But you never know the hour or the day . . .
The video: It's an amazing final bow. They should bury him on the moon.

  3. I think Mr Bowie also shows the world that there is still great music being made. He's a rock icon and should go down in rock history like my favourite Beatle: John Lennon.

My kids call my music: 'hippy music.' But I will keep playing my sixties seventies, eighties and nineties rock music.

    1. I find the fact that someone can make a video like that while standing on the brink of the abyss that men call heaven is quite inspiring. It gives me hope.

The Beatles, the Stones, Queen, not to mention Luciano Pavarotti my all time favorite singer , there is a poem about him on here somewhere. Mrs G had the good fortune to see him live at the Vienna State Opera.

In Ireland we were invited by a man in Galway to go to Kilfenora which we did. A great night we had with music in the pub there.
