Earthquake haiku for Japan

The following haiku is along with other contributions from around the globe now to be found on the Mainichi Daily News website - click on Mainichi Daily News' Haiku in English Tsunami Special via the A-Z Links. I had the idea to write this and send it to Japan as I watched a Japanese resident describe an unusual event she had witnessed a short time before the quake.

suddenly crows


all rising and falling


the sky turning dark
