I suppose, when one thinks about it, we can glean all kinds of news from the sky - from the sunset, from the clouds, from the stars - and in your case from the huge number of aircraft that have criss-crossed it.
Pat, I think it may be something to do with EU planes not being allowed to fly over Russia at the moment as part of the tit-for-tat sanctions started by the EU in their wisdom to bring forth the potential Cold War II scenario unfolding for some obscure reason known only to insiders.
