ReplyDeleteDrove alongside the Mallerstang yesterday and thought of you.
As we have seen in Germany during the Cold War and in Palestine in more recent times fences have a nasty habit of evolving into Walls. Good fences might make good neighbours but their subsequent replacement with walls creates a siege mentality. The Berlin Wall started with a harmless looking roll of barbed wire such as you probably have on the farm.
