My winter travelling friend has penciled in Vienna for our trip this winter. . Is it still worth visiting or will there be no rooms at the inns or on the ground because of refugees?
No problem in Vienna. They're bussing them to the German border. They've got about 6 camps situated within walking distance. There's even one near the town where Hitler was born. You could get across in a rowing boat in two minutes. Or just walk over the bridge if they'd let you.
I was out running this morning when I passed a refugee family at the roadside. Their little boy gave me a peace sign. So moving. The trust they have in the future. And what courage.
Welcome to Europe. You don't know what you're letting yourself in for.
ReplyDelete6,000 welcomes this morning. Not the busiest of days. We had 11,000 a couple of days ago.
