She died in bed
in a fever
long before the 4 children
were born.

She found herself
on a new level of existence
in a strange dimension
beyond gravity -
formlessly floating
and looking down
on her discarded corpse
and her own mother
grief-stricken
and awash with tears.

The doctor gone. The undertaker
on his way.

This so moved her
that she slipped back into her
discarded body
and came back to life.

And this was in the days
before computer games.
