I like that - the lack of punctuation, the lack of superfluous words (my personal greatest writing fault) - just a list of reasons why - and I think I agree with every one of those reasons. Re. the brass plate in Clitheroe church - I shall ask Carol (From the Field Book), who lives over that way, to have a look next time she in anywhere near. Goodness knows what mysteries will be uncovered (probably nothing more than its needing a good going over with Brasso).
