. . . so they
created fog lights sidelights
headlights brake lights parking lights
reversing lights indicator lights oil-warning lights
interior lights door-panel lights control-panel lights
radio and cd-player lights map-reading lights
cockpit glovebox & drinkcooler lights +
lights to fire their
cigars . . .
When I was a child my mother always cooked the lights for our dogs (I think they were the lungs of dead sheep or cattle - yuk)
ReplyDeleteSome people eat that stuff too! I ordered it once in a German restaurant not realizing what it was. Very spicy.
ReplyDeleteI thought I was going to die an hour later. I had to jump into a bath of ice cold water and take some tablets.
A great light-hearted poem, that!
ReplyDeleteCheers, Dominic!
ReplyDeleteToo cold to run these days - -12C, -17C, -12C plus wind chill of course - hope it's better where you are!
Once reached -5 that I know of. It might have gone lower.
ReplyDeleteNearly turned back the other night as it was just so cold, but kept going. Prefer the "low minuses" to the "low pluses" - the latter always feel colder to me (I'm told its an eefect of the humidity).
Hi Dominic, I know exactly what you mean about low humid pluses feeling colder than minuses -the first gets into your bones and brings on your aches and pains whereas the second stings and numbs.
ReplyDeleteI went for a walk today and took a set of natural ice pattern photos.
