  1. Reminds me of when I once saw lotus blossoms caught in solid ice on a lake in China.

  2. A few years ago on the border of Italy and Austria they found a 5,000 year old man frozen in the ice. He was subsequently named Ötzi (or Oetzi) - but it seemed he was jinxed - the one who found him died and then several other people connected with the case - experts examined the body and reckoned Ötzi himself had been murdered. Strange but true.

    Your lotus sounds much nicer and more romantic.
