A Fools Tower Card for Easter

From the Fools Tower (see post below) my card for Easter. From a racked selection of free photographs to take away I helped myself to this one and a couple of other pictures which also showed scenes in the mortuary. They are all unsigned. I think the photos could be photos of the work of a patient.  Psychiatric patients, as I have discovered through visiting many such establishments ,  often display a great and wonderful talent for painting.

    1. It's what I thought. The way the head lies on the wooden block, as if rising. Happy Easter to you too.

  2. Mad people are very creative, sensitive and special.

  3. I think there is a very thin line between madness and genius. Van Gogh is a classical example of this.

    1. I'm not sure Vincent was crazy because I read his letters to his brother Theo and they seemed quite lucid to me. But of course he went crazy for some reason, maybe there was some chemical in the paints or maybe it was the absinthe or maybe the problems with Gaugin or maybe all these things. Before he moved into the yellow house I think he was sound as a bell.

    2. I have read his letters too. He was unhappy when Gaugin left and he felt he was always bad at relationships after that. He was sad and not necessarily mad but he was depressed after that.

    3. I agree. And another reason for his sadness I think was that his good friends postman Roulin (?) and family had to move away due to job.
