Cartoon from Afghanistan

An Afghan artist demands that we ask why the leaders of the Gulf States are not providing shelter for refugees. He paints them burying the problem in the sand.  The picture also reminds us of the image (in b/w below) of the Syrian boy washed up on a Mediterranean beach, lest we should quickly forget.

    1. Thanks Blogoratti. I have relented and provided 4 lines of background. The cartoon by itself is worth the proverbial thousand words.

  2. Sadly we do all forget far too quickly.

    1. Yes, the next bad thing always comes along to overshadow the last bad thing . . . and so it goes.
