Darkly Painted Bars





high 
iron gate
aside 
this church
leads to the end 
of life 

upon 
this gate 
there floats 
in air 
a silver thread 
that is a work 
to snare 

unseen 
by some 
who'd slip between 
these dark 
and slender bars 
upon 
their hurried way

    Thanks Magyar. I've now expanded the poem and added extra images from my walk yesterday and a link to Inspired Sunday meme. I hadn't realized the top picture of the web on the gate sits well with the header image until I saw your verse.
