Whale talk

They plough the seas from pole to pole
recycling radioactive plankton as they go
upon their way in pods - the starry heavens
and ocean trenches all mapped out
inside their furrowed heads -
they have no need of gps or
googled maps - and we marvel when they pass
upon their circumnavigation
through all the planet's
oceans great and small -
where man's harpoon can kill for science -
be careful what you wish for
say the whales -
the whales who left the land
to settle in the sea

Great rhythm to this Gwilym.

I like the idea of whales ploughing - cleansing, creating, etc - and going by their old trusted methods not from the modern world.
