"An idea no longer shrouded in mist, through wave or ether comes to me, like a star from high up in the skies, or a pearl from the bottom of the sea." - Victor Hugo (Les rayons et les ombres)
Twilight is sometimes called "owl light," a time when the boundary between realms conscious and unconscious turns permeable--and the statue here does just that, shift between gestalts and reasons why--Why "it is an owl."Much obliged!Owl
And so tonight I shall read (out loud) Altarwise by owl-light by Dylan Thomas - 't will be a hoot.
Great words...thankyou...tonight we heard two owls in the back field. It's been a while since we heard one and now there are two...that means a pair and that means nests and owlets...I hope...so thanks for this super poem!
Gerry, many thanks. Hope the owlets arrive safely.
