It looks more like a deformed parsnip to me,.
A couple of stray twigs appear to have frozen in the icicle to give it that "deformed parsnip" shape - but in the middle finger I'd say there's almost a face . . . a bit like looking at clouds.
Pat, perhaps ice-finger puppets - on the left finger maybe an ostrich and in the middle a thin-faced one-eyed lion ?
