R S Thomas - Priest and Poet

WELSH COASTLINE

R S Thomas

It was a priest

in a seaside church

enclosed

within his restless verse

an echo

slowly

to return

as ECHO.

  1. One of my all time favourite poets Gwil. I well remember the first time I discovered Iago Prytherch. He had such a love/hate relationship with Welsh country workers.

  5. Pat, Prytherch and the rest. Brilliant poetic work.

John, and also not to forget the 'Selected' which he selected himself.

Dominic, Aberdaron's as far as you can go. Next stop South America.
