  2. Yes Pat the George Washington is a pub at Warton near Carnforth. Story is that some ancestors of America's first president lived in the area and that the family coat of arms the inspiration for the US stars & stripes flag is to be found in the local church. The Old Nab is in Yorkshire on the Cleveland Way coastal path.
