"An idea no longer shrouded in mist, through wave or ether comes to me, like a star from high up in the skies, or a pearl from the bottom of the sea." - Victor Hugo (Les rayons et les ombres)
Perhaps it still does somewhere. I often wonder what our intelligence is in aid of, in the big scheme of things.Fred Hoyle wrote a book many years ago called The Black Cloud, I think. I read it a while ago: a black cloud was drifting towards earth in space. It turned out to be intelligent.
Sackerson, many thanks for the information about the black cloud and also your previous comment here which I was unable to reply to at the time. Gwilym
Hello from intelligent life on earth.
Hello Gunner Rachel, I recently read in the paper that Professor Stephen Hawking like you an example of intelligent life (quote: "The Simpsons is the best thing on American TV"), has calculated for us mathematically taking into account various factors including shirt colours that Brazil are going to win the World Cup. I hope they do it with panache. But I wouldn't put my shirt on it. Get in the cases of lagers and enjoy the football fest! P and all!
Indeed we will. Good to see you again!
Don't know what it is but it is revolting.
Pat, whatever they are they are invading Wales.
