  1. The prisoner Schiele would have spent more time in prison if it were today is my guess. The calligraphy on the door is impressive.

  2. They used the cell as a coal shed when the prison closed down. But then tourist industry came to own and Egon Schiele was rehabilitated, so the place was cleaned up and whitewashed. Sad that he died at 28. Had much to offer the art world.
