Egon Schiele

my one shot selfie

in Schiele's cell

- badly framed

  1. You look as though you have seen a ghost.

    Wonderful header photograph.

  2. I think you are doing a Schiele imitation. I think you got into part well. There is an exhibition of his work in London at the moment. I am a Schiele fan as I think you already know. What were you doing in his cell?

    I like your colourful header.

  3. Thanks Rachel, about the header. I went into ES's cell to get the feel of it, the atmosphere, the jail is now a museum in a town called Neulengbach about 30 mins on train from me. I'm going to follow it up of course. Probably in the next 2 or 3 posts. I have some little translating to do first, though. They are mostly his thoughts on his imprisonment. Interestingly no-one can find the actual case file. I suppose it was destroyed long ago. It's an avenue worth exploring at any rate. So will do that.

  4. Pat, it did feel a little spooky I must admit. Behind me is the door and a bell to ring for a guard to come.
