Listen. How the soul whispers.

  1. Make sure you slow down sometimes and listen to it.

    1. Thanks Rachel. Hope you are on the way to recovery. I picked up a nasty cold in November. Had to have a few days in bed. I'm hoping I've built up an immunity to see me through the February fogs, and the next couple of months.

    2. I am feeling very ill this morning. This must be flu.

    3. Oh dear. Flu is awful. You have my sympathy.

Have only had flu twice in my life, the Asian flu and the Hong Kong flu epidemics. and I don't want it again.

    1. Thank you Shawn. Pleased you like it. Snapped it on the run. When doing the weekly long-slow-distance I often take the camera along.

  4. Yes, Gwil, WH David indeed - my father's favourite poet - and his favourite sentiment too. We all need time to just take in the world around us - the farmer is much better at doing it than I am. I envy him.

    1. Farmers are pretty good at this. One time I found 3 lof them leaning on a gate near Llanberis. They were looking at sheep in the rain.

    2. One was chewing a stalk of grass. The farmer I mean, not the sheep.

  5. "Always raising the baa" - I like that immensely!
My dear friend Anne (four beautiful grown-up daughters) has not only renovated an old mill to live in, and created a big garden - she also has four sheep, (in another part, not in the garden) and I love them.
Listening (without the chorus of "bäh") is rare - but very nourishing.

    1. This sheep, now demoted to the post above this one, is the sheep the others follow. I know that because of the trail of footprints in the snow. It's almost heavenly to sit atop a grassy hill in Wales in the summer and listen to the chorus all around. It's how I imagine God to be occupied.
