An interesting reflection on the passage of time. Bit of name dropping here. I never see the word oeuvre without calling to mind that I once heard the pianist Peter Donohoe say to the composer Messiaen about one of the latter's pieces (much to Messiaen's amusement):"Maitre, c'est un oeuf magnifique!"
