Hi Gerald, in my experience in the Vienna Woods it's very quiet when the snow is actually falling - before it snows the crows,when the sky begins to darken and wind the gets up, give a concert and sometimes a display of acrobatics - after the snowfall the songbirds burst forth. It may different in Hyde of course.
