Deep Peace - A Celtic Prayer

A Celtic Prayer

Deep peace
of the running waves
to you.

Deep peace
of the flowing air
to you.

Deep peace
of the quiet earth
to you.

Deep peace
of the shining stars
to you

Deep peace
of the son of peace
to you

    1. Deep peace in everything. Yes, I like that. A fruit going bad but still not lost . . .

"The Dominion of Dreams. Under the Dark Star
by Fiona Macleod (William Sharp, 1895)

    1. Heron's View, my thanks for the comment and info. It's much appreciated. I will follow up on the information about The Dominion of Dreams . . . Fiona Macleod.

    2. According to Wikipedia Fiona MacLeod is a pseudonym used by the writer William Sharp, an interesting and controversial character who ended up being buried in Sicily. His poem is much longer than the version above.

  3. You are very welcome Gwil.
I am lucky in that we have several of William Sharps books.
His pseudonym Fiona MacLeod was seen as part of his alter ego by many of his peers.
I conclude by saying there is nothing new in the world :)
