A Celtic Prayer
Deep peace
of the running waves
to you.
Deep peace
of the flowing air
to you.
Deep peace
of the quiet earth
to you.
Deep peace
of the shining stars
to you
Deep peace
of the son of peace
to you
Wonderful.

ReplyDeleteBalsam for the soul.

Heron's View, my thanks for the comment and info. It's much appreciated. I will follow up on the information about The Dominion of Dreams . . . Fiona Macleod.
DeleteAccording to Wikipedia Fiona MacLeod is a pseudonym used by the writer William Sharp, an interesting and controversial character who ended up being buried in Sicily. His poem is much longer than the version above.
DeleteYou are very welcome Gwil.
ReplyDeleteI am lucky in that we have several of William Sharps books.
His pseudonym Fiona MacLeod was seen as part of his alter ego by many of his peers.
I conclude by saying there is nothing new in the world :)
