"An idea no longer shrouded in mist, through wave or ether comes to me, like a star from high up in the skies, or a pearl from the bottom of the sea." - Victor Hugo (Les rayons et les ombres)
Your Amazon delivery has just been dropped .............. in your back yard. Postman on holiday.
I can still remember the days when postmen, milkmen and window cleaners were in the streets whistling their happy tunes. Have we've all taken the wrong turning somewhere?
Now we are made lonelier.
If we are lonely we can always join a traffic snarl up. Just heard on the radio that there is 20 minute delay for vehicles crossing a bridge as people drive there to swan-neck at the latest accident. It seems to be a kind of hobby for the lonely. In yesterday's paper two cyclists involved in accidents reported taken to hospital. Hope they are not lonely on the 7th or 8th floor of our medical monolith.
A man has just been to read our electric meter. He said he will come again in 3 years.
